Congressional Crimes against our Country & our Troops
Dude Cunningham, Murtha and others in congress have committed the worst kind of crimes, By not providing proper oversight and testing of the manufacturing of our Troops protective equipment, costing thousands of lives in a time of war. Any Congressman or Senator found guilty of such do not deserve to just be removal from office and placed in some low security Federal Jail, That is not enough, they should be placed in a donjon for life with no access to any one. except those guilty "Defense Contractors" who have provided the bribes, who should also be treated the same way.

The military is recalling more than 18,000 protective vests because they did not meet ballistic test standards when the body armor was made up five years ago. "Made up under Murtha's and Cunninghams watch."
Troops pay ultimate price, Many times from lack of proper equipment
Murtha and Cunningham were both great Military men in Vietnam. Honored & decorated Vietnam war veterans, however yesterdays home runs don't count in today's ball game and we are playing the World Series with no more time outs.
SAN DIEGO. Rep. Randy "Duke" Cunningham, Former Vietnam War ace pilot, and now an eight term congressman, plead guilty to conspiracy and tax charges and tearfully resigned from his office, as he admits taking bribes and gifts worth more than 2 (two) millions.
Cunningham was known in Washington for his supposed interest in defense issues. (Ya right), and his patriotic speeches on the House floor, he also supported a constitutional amendment to ban flag burning. He was riding high in his snug little San Diego district with his supposed Vietnam war record, before it was found out that he had sold the home to a defense contractor executive for twice it's worth and had also taken millions in bribes.
US Attorney Carol Lam Said about Cunningham,"he did the worst thing an elected official can do, he enriched himself through his position and violated the trust of those who put him there" Yes, US Attorney Lam you have and are continuing to do a hell of a good job. However we at unionvets think it is worse than that, He lied and stole defense funds while our troops died. Many times from lack of proper body armor and protective equipment. Some troops have had to pay for the purchased of proper equipment through family members and shipped to them because of the lack of help from Congress.
We at www.unionvets.com Hope US District Judge Larry Burns throws away the key on Cunningham so as not to allow some politically motivated parole board, later when things cool down; to let him out jail because of his health or age, We want to let him rot in jail.
Wiping away all those bull shit tears you shed "Duke," just don't get it with us. I think of those troops and families that paid the ultimate sacrifice while protecting our nations freedom, while "bastards" like you stole needed defense funds. You stole from our troops and some time stole their life.
You say "Duke" "I can't undo what I have done, but you can atone," Duke, you just don't get it do you? You cannot atone: You enriched your self while our young men & women and there families sacrificed their lives; you and others allowed unscrupulous defense contractors to produce cheap, inferior body armor without you providing proper oversight while you stole from our defense funds, our troops, this country and our cause of freedom. No, we don't think you need to spend the next 10 years in jail we think you need EXECUTED for treason "you lied and stole while good men died."
